Pre-flight

Estimate the provider, model, context size, output and likely retries before AI work starts.

  • An estimate is not a provider guarantee.
  • Show the Passenger which account or platform allowance will be used.
  • Fail without dispatch when the usable balance is insufficient.

Protect completion

Fence a reserve that discovery and optional exploration cannot consume.

  • Release the reserve only for completion or safe hand-off.
  • Require a new visible agreement before expanding the envelope.
  • Keep human time separate from model-unit estimates.

Record actual use

Bind provider/model, measured units, time, correlation ID and resulting balance to a receipt.

  • Never infer a consumer subscription balance that the provider does not expose.
  • Distinguish estimated, reserved, consumed and reconciled units.
  • Surface discrepancies before the next dispatch.
