Accessibility and Lucide guide

Lucide is an accessibility guide that explains the prototype and helps shape a brief; it is not an autonomous authority over accounts, agreements or money.

01

Equivalent ways to operate

Visible text, keyboard controls and captions remain available even when microphone or spoken output is unavailable.

  • Voice input starts only after the microphone control is pressed.
  • Harmless navigation commands use a deterministic allowlist.
  • Unclear speech stays editable instead of triggering an action.
02

Confirmation gates

Consequential actions require a visible review and confirmation that voice alone cannot complete.

  • Payments, agreements, identity checks and final acceptance are gated.
  • Deletion and sharing-grant changes are gated.
  • A human support route remains necessary for accessibility failures.
03

Voice truth

The current prototype requests an en-GB device voice; a consistent premium South-UK voice has not been auditioned or connected.

  • Available voices vary by browser and device.
  • Server speech needs an approved provider, voice profile, capacity limit and privacy review.
  • The on-screen transcript remains the reviewable record.
